The writers of E4 sitcom The Inbetweeners have confirmed they are penning a film version of the series.
Damon Beesley and Iain Morris said Film4 have commissioned a script for a movie of the hit show, which follows four bumbling, potty-mouthed schoolboys, and said they are considering taking the pals on the lads' holiday for the feature-length piece.
Iain said: "We always try and make the show as real as we can, and we think the boys of that age tend to go on holiday abroad - we think a film could do justice to that."
He added: "Most films I understand never get made, but that's what we're doing."
They may have stiff competition from some of the show's stars, however.
The writing duo said that Simon Bird, who plays Will Mackenzie, and Joe Thomas (Simon Cooper) have written a "brilliant" script, which is "annoyingly funnier" than their own work.
