Compton, CA rapper The Game missed a scheduled court date in Manhattan yesterday (Mar. 30), related to charges that he impersonated a police officer in Nov.
According to the New York Post, a warrant was issued for the rapper's arrest, but the warrant will not be activated unless he misses his next court date, which is scheduled for Jun. 13.
The Game was arrested on Nov. 16, after he allegedly ordered a cab driver to run several red lights.
When the cab was stopped by police, the driver told police that the Game, born Jayceon Taylor, said he was an undercover police officer and allegedly urged the cab driver to run the red lights.
Police promptly arrested The Game and charged him with impersonating a police officer.
"This is a ploy by the Hip-Hop police to humiliate me, because they harass and follow me every time I come to New York," The Game told AllHipHop.com shortly after his arrest. "I was in New York promoting my album. I never impersonated anyone especially and absolutely never a police officer."
An arrest warrant was issued for the rapper on Jan. 16, after he failed to appear for his first court date related to the charges.
On Jan. 30, The Game appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to the charges. His lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman, welcomed a trial.
"The police are harassing him," Lichtman said after the rapper pleaded innocent. "It's an embarrassment for them. The cops follow him from the moment he lands to the moment he leaves. A limo driver freaked out, that's it. They are harassing him, but there will be some harassment going the other way at the trial."

Game (born Jayceon Taylor) was booked at a nearby police station on felony charges.
The Compton bred rapper made headlines in November when he was arrested for impersonating a police officer after hailing a cab in New York and flashing a fake badge to his driver.

Rapper The Game recently went to Miami to record with Cool and Dre. Coming out of those session is a potential blockbuster of a collaboration: Game and Nas on one record again, this time joined by Akon. The trio's cut is called "Street Ryders."
"Akon's dope," Game said about the collaboration on Saturday night in Anaheim, California, where he performed at Power 106's Powerhouse 2007 concert. "I try to work with people who are dope. He's dope, I'm dope - we made crack."
Game is going to take a break from recording his next album - which he maintains will be his curtain call - but said he might release another video from Doctor's Advocate.
"I'll probably throw something out for the people, some food for thought," he said. "But I'm going on tour in Europe and I'll be over there all summer, [then I'll] come back and work on my third and final album."

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has banned Compton rapper the Game from future interviews. The decision comes after a complaint against the BBC was dismissed by the Corporation's governors committee. The complaint stemmed from an interview The Game did last July on The Jo Whiley Show, on BBC Radio 1. The rapper reportedly caused an uproar when he called gay men "f****ts" and "not real men." Although they labeled the Game's comments as "very offensive, completely unacceptable and clearly homophobic," the committee decided not to taken any action against Whiley because she made a "sincere, full and swift" apology and distanced herself and the network from The Game's comments." Despite canceling further interviews with the Game, the BBC will not ban the rapper's music. The Corporation's interview ban is the latest incident involving the rapper, who was recently arrested for allegedly pulling a gun on a man during a basketball game in South Los Angeles. A police offer who taped the rapper flashing a wad of money, throwing up gang signs and smirking in a holding cell is currently under investigation Los Angeles Police Department's internal affairs division. The Game has pleaded not guilty to three felony counts of making a criminal threat, possessing a firearm in a school zone and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer. In related news, The Game, Akon and Juelz Santana will perform with Naughty by Nature during the Roc the Block festival on August 11 in Australia. The outing caused headlines when Australian immigration officials threatened to ban both, because of their previous criminal records.
