Redknapp Convinced Giovani Dos Santos Has Future At Tottenham Hotspur Mexican youngster still has time, according to Harry...
Despite being highly regarded at former club Barcelona, Mexican forward Giovani dos Santos has so far been unable to break into Tottenham Hotspur's first XI and was even loaned out to lower league club Ipswich Town last season. However, Spurs' manager Harry Redknapp insists the player still has a future at White Hart Lane.
In particular, Redknapp was impressed with the Mexican international's performance in the League Cup and hinted that, with continued dedication, a place in his senior squad could be bestowed unto him. The Lilywhite boss explained to the Evening Star, "Giovani played in the Carling Cup and did very well. He looked lively, so hopefully he can continue in that form.
"If he dedicates himself to being a top player, then he will have a part to play here.
"He's got all the ability, but it's up to him now," concluded Redknapp.
Dos Santos recently got himself an international goal. The forward struck the first goal of the game during Mexico's routine 3-0 win over Costa Ric

Cristiano Ronaldo believes that Lionel Messi should win the coveted Ballon d'Or award and feels that Barcelona are still a better team than Real Madrid.
The Portuguese star was in generous mood, confessing that the Argentine achieved more than him last term and should be crowned Europe's best player.
Messi is seen as the favourite for the France Football prize, which is due to be announced in December, with Ronaldo also being mooted to retain the gong.
"He's the favourite. He won the Champions League, the Primera league title. Why not him? If he wins it, he will have deserved it," the Madrid star told France Football magazine.
Ronaldo was then asked about Barcelona and the differences between them and Madrid. He stated that, due to their unity, the Catalans are currently the stronger of the two outfits.
"Barcelona play better football [than Madrid], but why?" he continued.
"Because they have been together for several seasons, not two months. Barca are better than us today but the real question is, who will be in front at the end of the season?"
